October Wrap Up

So I only managed to actually finish reading one book during this month. I feel myself sort of entering a reading slump and there was a lot of trying to figure out what to do for NaNoWriMo this year. I also picked two very slow books so that wasn’t something that really helped.

This book I really wanted to LOVE. Anything that re-imagines fairy tales are pure gold to me and this book came very highly recommended by my sister-in-law. I did like it, sort of. I liked the world, I liked the characters, and I even liked the magic system. I just couldn’t stand the pacing of the story.

This is obviously another fairy tale retelling. I do plan on writing a full review of this book but just know that I freaking loved it. It was fast pace which was what I needed after the last one.

I began to read A Gentleman in Moscow and I’m really enjoying it but I wasn’t able to finish before the end of the month. That means it will probably wait until after NaNo is either over or I give up.
